the gifts and stories of writers in your pews. You'll receive a complete
blueprint to take you through pre-planning to publication, including
a writer's workshop format. (This workshop can be combined with Snapshots
of Grace for a retreat focusing on devotional writing.)
Conflict in the
Church: Entrusted with the Message of Reconciliation:
A two day retreat designed by the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center. It
offers an opportunity to examine the nature of conflict and how it can
be a source of renewal and transformation. Time is spent discovering
ones own response to conflict and how to effectively communicate
amid the storm. This workshop is especially helpful for congregational
leadership teams.

An all-day workshop designed by the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center.
It looks at the nature of conflict and how it can be a source of renewal
and transformation for individuals and congregations.
Conflict: Mere
Survival...or Invitation to Grow?:
When you are going through any kind of conflict youre more likely
to feel like you are barely surviving than thriving. Yet the pain you
and your congregation may feel could be growing pains. Well discuss
some of the growing edges that conflict offers, both personally and
corporately, and how to nurture the growth potential. Includes a discussion
of self-care for congregational leaders during times of intense conflict.
Each One Gifted:
Explore the gifts of your congregational leadership team through the
use of the Myers Briggs Type Inventory. Participants will both take
the MBTI and learn about how their type preferences can influence their
leadership and communication styles.
Gifted for Mission:
A day-long retreat to explore individual gifts of the leadership team
and gifts of the congregation and how they might be utilized to refine
congregational mission.

An Exploration of Journaling:
Each day of journaling can serve as a stepping stone to renewal and
wholeness. Explore the journey within and discover how to turn journaling
into a ministry tool.

Leading Change Through Self-Differentiation:
This process was developed by the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center and
utliizes Murray Bowen's family systems theory to understand self and
the emotional process of systems. This is a longterm process that could
be engaged in by individuals, church staffs, and leadership teams seeking
to increase their efforts at being self-differentiated leaders.
Identity from the
Inside Out: A Leadership Toolbox:
The workshop offers tools to empower and strengthen your congregational
leaders in their ministry. To be a healthy church, a congregation needs
healthy leaders. An excellent workshop for leadership team-building.
Keeping the Focus:
Leadership During Times of Change:
A look at the realities and challenges of congregational leadership
during times of change. Includes a refresher on unhealthy and healthy
communications.
Leading More Effectively:
Understanding Your MBTI® Preferences:
Conflicts and misunderstandings are often the result of people expecting
others to both take in information and process it the same way we do.
But, that doesnt happen. This workshop will use the MBTI®
to help you develop a better understanding of your preferences and how
they might affect your leadership style. Each participant will be required
to take an online assessment prior to the session and they will receive
a personalized Myers Briggs Type Indicator® Interpretive Report
at the workshop. This may also be offered as one-on-one leadership coaching
rather than through a workshop.

A day-long retreat that explores healthy communications and leadership
during times of conflict in the congregation.

The Two Faces
of Conflict:
If a congregation has no conflict, it may either be dying or in denial.
Conflict is a sign of life and indicates a willingness to grow. Learn
how to identify healthy conflict and how to keep it from turning into
a destructive force.
Transformational
Conflict:
Every leader will face conflict during his or her ministry. It's a fact
of life, but it doesn't have to be one that evokes fear. We'll look
at some of the dynamics of conflict and discuss leadership strategies
and growth opportunities for both leaders and the congregation.
